Gandhinagar: After the municipal elections, two general elections of district panchayat and 17 taluka panchayats of the state were held. Polling was held on February 21 for this election. Polling was 53% in taluka panchayat elections. In the district panchayat elections, 51 percent voting was registered. Counting of votes today has been conducted. Two district panchayats were voted on 66 seats in Banaskantha district and 44 seats in Kheda district. One seat of Banaskantha district has been non-existent. In the Banaskantha district panchayat, Congress is leading the BJP. In Banaskantha’s 66 seats, Congress got 18 and BJP got 18 seats. In Kheda district panchayat 44 out of 44 seats, BJP has won 14 and Congress has won 14 seats.

Gujarat Budget 2018-19: Know what has been done in the police recruitment

Gandhinagar: Finance Minister Nitin Patel presented the budget today. Considering the number of vehicles rising in the urban areas of the state, the police bar will be directly recruited at 5635 locations in the next year to manage the proper traffic. In which 1500 places will be allocated for traffic.


Besides this, a provision of Rs. 360 crore has been made for the construction of residential and non-residential houses of the police department in the budget. Under the Police Modernization Scheme, Rs 67 crore has been allocated for equipment, vehicles and construction to strengthen the police system and forensic science system.

The traffic brigade volunteer has now been increased to Rs 300 for the daily honorarium of Rs 200. Apart from this, 4000 volunteers will be increased in traffic brigade. 33% women will be recruited. After that, the number of traffic brigade volunteers will increase from 4000 to 10,000.

Once in a year offer by the Indian Railways. Job Aspirants, an opportunity never before, the Indian Railways has sought applications for around 90,000 posts for lower level staffers including loco pilots and technicians, a statement from the Railway ministry said.
Details including age limit, educational qualification, salary, etc are given below. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to go through before filling in the application.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification is class tenth and an Industrial Training Institute certificate (ITI).
Age Limit: The Group C level II posts will be open for candidates in the age group of 18-28 years while Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts for candidates is open for those in the age group of 18-31 years.
Posts: The posts include technicians like fitter, crane driver, blacksmith, and carpenter at Group C Level II and Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts like track maintainer, points man, helper, gateman.
“Ministry of Railways has announced one of the world s largest recruitment processes for 89,409 posts in Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) & Level II Categories,” the statement said.
The applications have been sought through the railway recruitment board website.
Salary: While the salary of the former along with allowances as per the Seventh Pay Commission (level 2) will be in the scale of Rs 19,900-63,200, for the latter it will be in the scale of Rs 18,000- 56,900, the statement said.
Last Date to Apply: Applications for Group C Level II posts will be accepted till March 5, 2018 and for Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts will be accepted till March 12, 2018.
The statement also said that free sleeper class railway pass facility shall be available for SC/ST candidates for the computer based aptitude tests, physical efficiency tests, document verification during the recruitment stages.
The computer based test is scheduled tentatively in April May 2018.
